Bible Stories
The earliest memory I have of reading is my mother reading Bible stories to my sisters and I. -
Workbooks!
As the oldest, I would always read through activity workbooks with my younger sisters. -
Animorphs
Around the 4th and 5th grade I joined my local library and became obsessed with Animorphs. I would sit for hours after school reading in the lounge area! -
Twilight Series
During the 9th grade I started reading the Twilight series, which jump started my love for novels. -
HARRY POTTER
Since the 10th grade Harry Potter has been my solace through a lot of difficult times. I read the books and get lost in the story, forgetting about my own problems. -
Renewed love for God
I built a new relationship with God in high school, in doing so I started reading a lot of books in relation to prayer. This book in particular guided me through tough decisions. -
College
College brought me a new perspective on reading. Before college I read for fun, in college I read for information and efficacy. -
Ashley Graham!
In 2017, a plus-sized model, someone I looked up to, released her first book. Reading her story gave me so much inspiration and confidence to be myself, and to love myself. -
Marriage
After getting married in 2018, I wanted to make sure I was doing my duty as a God-fearing woman. I started reading a lot of articles/books about marriage and families. To this day I still read to better myself and how I approach situations. -
Reading for FUN
Because of my reading history and the love I have for knowledge, I now read for fun! I am currently into Self-help books or things that can motivate me to keep getting better.
