When I got a bit older, old enough to now remember, my favorite series was the Corduroy books. I remember getting very sad when Courduroy was left in the laundrymat all by himself ): I never got bored of hearing the stories over and over again.

Eventually I began to read books of my own ! My favorite grade school series til this day was the Junie B. Jones books. I still remember the books feeling thick and considered them long reads. Some of the updated versions of the series had stickers in the back. They were so cute.

Every day we were assigned at least 15 minutes of reading at home. My dad would have me read to him. He would then sign my reading log I would turn in every week.

In middle school I def read a lot less. At the time, I was in orchestra and I remember learning how to play music, which is a different type of reading. It was cool ! (I forgot everything now)

I actually enjoyed reading the books in Highschool English and History. In reading I remmeber reading to kill a mockingbird, murder case studies, Beauwolf, Two mice and men. It introduced me to the deeper meaning of reading.

With higher ED it hasnt always been the easiest of reads. School in general takes away some of the pleasure of reading for fun when we are assigned the readings, however, it has introduced me to new material I probably wouldn't have read on my own. Its preparing us for a lot more than we know.
