During this time period their art was mainly pottery, jewelry, and child’s toys. This was mainly found in the Indus Valley Civilizations. This pottery, mostly bowls and other household items were made of very high quality. Archeologists have also found silver and bronze bowls witch are not common in the Indus River Valley. Scientists believe that these items made of these metals had these items imported from other places. -

This specific sculpture was made by Myron. It is still very famous today and has been in many movies and TV shows. I choose this art piece because it is one of the most famous from its time. -

This picture represents Peter is receiving the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. This stained glass window was made in 1315 during the Revolutionary period. This is in this specific timeline because it represents the church and the pope in the Catholic church. -

The Last Supper 1495–1498
This painting was also by Leonardo da Vince. This painting is in this timeline because it is a very popular piece and a lot of people don’t know who really painted it. Leonardo painted this for the Duke of Milan who he worked for, for 18 years. This painting is about 15 x 29 feet. It took him 3 years to paint this. This also was made in both the Renaissance era and Exploration era. -
The Mona Lisa 1915
The Mona Lisa by Leonard da Vince. I find this painting interesting because we don’t know who its is a painting of. It could be Lisa Gherardini, the wife of a silk merchant, or it could be a painting of Leonardo himself. It is still a mystery today. It was one of Leonardo’s favorite paintings he did and I find it interesting he carried it with him until he died. This was made in both the Renaissance era and Exploration era. -

The Promised Land- The Grayson Family 1850
This painting shows a family out in the wilderness. I choose this painting because it is at the end of the Revolutionary period. It is one of the many family painted portraits. The artist, William S. Jewett, was an American painter who enjoyed painting “every day life” scenes. He focused on paintings landscapes and portraits. Mr. Grayson asked William to paint his family’s story, for they had traveled long and hard to get to the Gold Rush. -
Starry Night 1889
Starry Sky made by Vincent van Gogh. This is a very popular painting especially to today. This is also not the only starry sky painting he ever created. He has also made a painting called “Starry Night over the Rhode.” This was created in between the Revolutionary period and the WW1/WW2 era. -

This painting is part of a “The Scream” series that includes many paintings with the same concept and same place only different people. This photograph was taken at the end of the cold war when the Japanese surrendered. A random sailor went up to a random nurse and kissed her out of joy. I chose this because it is a very famous picture from the cold war, and to this day we still don’t know who were these mysterious sailor that kissed this mysterious nurse.
