    The Bluenose

    The Battle of the North Atlantic
    During World War 2, Hitler tried to destroy the supply shipments boats for the united kingdom. Canada stepped up by producing over 5 million tons of shipping equipment for the war. The image continues a photo of a ship made in Halifax designed to stop Hitler's U-boats.
  • Northwest Passage

    Northwest Passage
    The first commercial use of the Northwest passage opened up many opportunities for trade and transportation of goods around the world. The Royal Canadian mountain police were the first to make commercial use of the passage taking only a season to travel the entire length.
  • The Suez Crisis
