Kindergarten
The first time I heard The Three Little Pigs was in Kindergarten when Miss. Adams read it to the class. -
Library Time
I loved going to the library during Library time. The Librarian read George and Martha. -
Disney collection
My parents bought us the 5 book Disney collection which included Cinderella, Snow White,Pinocchio,The Jungle Book and Dumbo. -
Story Time
My older brother would read The Little House to me. -
Where the Wild Things Are
My second grade teacher, Mrs. Johnson read this book to the class. I thought it was a little scary. -
Daddy-Daughter reading time.
When I would bring library books home to read, my dad would sit with me and help me read. The one book I remember reading to him was The Fire Cat. He also sat with me when I had to read a story form the assigned text readers. Image is from Google Images. -
Reading at home
My older brother has a good collection of books that he would let me look at and read. He had several easy chapter readers like Little Bear, Danny and The Dinosaur, Sammy the Seal and Big Max. -
Fourth Grade
Mrs. Knowles read the first book of The Littles to the class. After she finished reading the first book to us, I would go to the school library and check out other The Littles books and read all that were available. Silent Reading
In Mrs.Denton's fifth grade class, we were allowed to read our library books silently the last few minutes of class each day. -
High School English
In my English class, we read Tuck Everlasting, Romeo and Juliet, the Glass Mengerie along with several more that I am unable to remember. -
College
In my college english class, I was assigned Great Expectation by Charles Dickens. It was very difficult to read. I had to have help interpreting the meaning and what was going on in the story. -
KinderCare
The reading curriculum I taught at KinderCare included the stories Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Caps For Sale. -
Primrose School
I really enjoyed reading to my Preschool class. The loved the book Officer Buckle and Gloria. After the story the children made sure we were all being safe and following the rules. -
Diversity at Primrose
I taught a unit called Children Around The World. We did several activities discussing different cultures. I was able to find several multicultural books that I read to my class. This was one of my favorite units to teach. the children learned so much about each other and other countries. -
Eric Carle
While Teaching at Primrose, I was introduced to books by Eric Carle. I loved how colorful and cute these stories were. To this day, Eric Carle is still one of my favorite author of children's books. -
Left Behind Series
I started reading the Left Behind Series and after I finished the first on I immediately went to the library to get the next book.I took me just a few monthe to finish the series. -
My Daughter's Disney Collection
My daughter was born in 2005 and I joined the disney book club to start collecting books to read to her. The disney collection consists of at least 60 plus books. She also has a Winnie the Pooh collection as well. We read to her very night. -
Literature in College
I took a Literature class at Tarrant County College. I read several clips from literature novels and then had to write about each one I read. It was a difficult class but I made an A. -
Harry Potter
We started reading to Harry Potter series to my daughter, Gueniviere. We are on the four book and hopefully when we get to the last book or two she will be able to read them to us. After each book is read we watch the movie with her.
