    • Took the role of youngest child, brother to three siblings, and son to parents.

    • Had to transition from staying home everyday with my family to being in a new environment for learning (new people, activities, experiences, etc.)
    • Transitioned from stay at home child to student
    • One of the first social institutions I was a part of (education). Attended class and gained knowledge in various subjects to support the institution.

    • Went through the service with students from my grade 2 class (cohort)
    • I had to adhere to social norms in church by being respectful and not disruptive at all times
    • I had to follow instructions given, as did the other children

    • Significant life event took place when grandmother that lived with my family died
    • Had affected my life drastically - went from helping with daily care to not being able to see her ever again

    • Confirming my contribution to my religion, acknowledging and practicing my beliefs (religious social institution)

    • Transitioned between an elementary school student to a high school student in a social institution for education
    • I have the role set to listen to teachers, participate in class activities, completing my homework and assignments, etc.

    • Role of family member, student, and employee at the same time began to conflict and cause me stress (spending time with family, completing school work, and working part-time was a lot to manage)
    • I had to be respectful in the workplace and abide by society’s beliefs that the customer is always right. I also had to sign off on the workplace policies, making me obligated to follow their rules
