Charles Floyd a good friend of William Clark dies from a ruptured appendix. Expedition names bluffs in his honor. only casualty suffered. -

Sioux Indian Tribe
Lewis and Clark came across the Sioux Indian Tribe. Invite the cheif on the Keelboat, gave them 1/2 a glass of whiskey. combat between the tribe and the Expedition crew. later on John Newman was killed by these Indians -
Start of construction of Fort Mandon
Fort Mandon is being constructed. -
Sacagawea
Lewis and clark meet Toussaint Charbonneau, a French-Canadian fur trader, and his wives Little Otter and Sacagawea. -
Finished Fort Mandon
Fort mandon is sonsidered complete, and the explorers move into it for the winter. -
The Youngest Member of the Expedition
After the celebration of the new year, Sacagawea joined the Expedition, and on February 11, 1805 she gave birth to "Pompy" as Clark called him. During the birth She got sick. Lewis gave her the rattles of rattlesnakes to help aid her. -
Grizzly bears
After coming to a fork in the river, Lewis and Clark split up. later Lewis shot a bison. Short lived he was then chased by a grizzly bear into a river. -
Continuing the Journey
Lewis and Clark meet up again. Clark is the first white man to see the Missouri falls from the right side of the river. -
Shoshone Indians
Lewis and Clark come across the Shoshone Indians. Sacagawea reveals that this is her tribe and her brother is the chief. Trade is easily made. -
Fort Clatsop
Fort Clatsop is completed and is used for the winter. -
Blackfeet Indains
The Blackfeet Indians tried to take the expeditions rifels. 2 indians are killed in the attempt. Lewis warns the indians about any more occurances and returns back to the east.
