IMB and Micro - soft (Windows of oppurtunity)
IBM released their personal computer with the MS - DOS or Microsoft Disk Operating System. This was the beginning of many new personal computers to be released as well as the beginning of the GUI that we would later come to know as Windows. -
Flash Memory
In the early 1980s, while working at Toshiba, Fujio Masuoka invents the Flash Memory. Capable of being programmed, erased and reprogrammed this invention was not commercialized until 1987/1988. Found in the now common memory cards and USB flash drives. -
