Today I learned how to take notes while watshing a video. This video, Bill Nye the Science guy:Earth's Crust was about the 4 types of layers. It was core,outer core,mantle and the crust. It also talked about volcanos and molted rocks that makes the mantle. -

Today in this video, I learned about how earthquakes occur. Earthquakes occur when 2 tectonic plates move and starts to get seperated from eachother. Also it told us about the emergency toolkit. I keeped the notes my drawing diagrams on the note part. -
How the World Works
Today we listed all the words we know that is connected to natural disasters. We also had to make 'Natural changes in the earth's structures and atmosphere can have destavated effects' into an easier form so earlier grades can understand. We will learn about how people will get prepared to evacuate safely when a natural disaster occurs, shape of the Earth and disasters that can happen because of the crust movements. -
What I did today
Today I watched videos about tsunami and tornado. It taught us about how tsunamis and tornadoes happen. We also seperated the questions we asked yesterday to thin and thick questions. -

Today Mr.Primeau gave us 80 mintes to research about our own subjects. I used my time wisely because I researched on the computer and used the books to answer the questions about tsunamis. Questions I made about tsunamis are "What are tsunamis?", "How do tsunamis happen?". I was on the finding out and little on making sense because most the time, I researched about tsunamis but also I organized the imformation of earthquakes. My Reflection
Today I searched about tornadoes and lightning/thunders on the site called Weather Wiz Kids. Also I tried a site made by someone like our e-portfollio which had a very good language for me to understand about lightning and thunders. What I learned today is connected to my life by when these natural disasters occur in Japan, I know how it occurs. I will try speeding myself up quicker and try researching and finish the lighting/thunder and move on to flood.
