I watch about how a volcano erupt and I learned how to take notes. We watched Bill Nye the science guy and Bill Nye was showing how volcano erupt. I learned that a volcano erupt by plates from other side of the earth go further. When the plate go near, volcano will grow.
When we take notes, we need to write down the key words, summary, and write the meaning. We write the key words, than write down some meanings, and write a summary using the key words. -
I watched Bill Nye the science guy and learn about earthquakes and took notes
Today I learned that the earthquake can happen by some heated molecules, volcano (lava), and the tectonic plates. as the tectonic plate move seperate, the earth quake will happen. When the plate move in together, the mountain will grow. Japan has many earthquakes because, there is many plates. I took notes really hard but sometime I couldn't know the meaning so I think I should hear more better about the key words. -
What we did at UOI
What we did at UOI is that we write down words that connect to natural disasters.
We change "Natural changes in the Earth's structure and atmosphere can have devastating effects" to easy words so G2 can understand what it means. We even change "Structure of Earth", "Natural disasters that may occur when the Earth's structure and atmosphere change", and "Human preparedness
and respones to natural disasters" in to easy words and put in the easy sentence in to a piece of clean paper. -
What we will study at UOI
We will study more about how natural disaster happen. We will learn about natural disaster of Earth and we will learn about Earth. We will learn how we can be safe when natural disasters happpen. -
Why we work on today's work
We sorted out sticky notes because Mr.Primeau can know everyone can do thick question. We watch some video of tsunamis so we can learn how tsunamis happen and other thing to know about tsunamis. We take some notes so we can review and we can use for project. -
What we did at UOI
We get with our reading partner as yesterday and we sorted out which is a thick question or thin question. What we sorted was the sticked note of what we questioned in the book about natural disaster yesterday. Today, we watched a video about tsunamis and tornados. Tsunami video was informational but the tornado movie was just watching tornado move. We take notes about the tsunami video and write the summary about how can tsunami happen. -

My topic was about Human preparedness and respones to natural disasters. We seperate the work yesterday and I was Human preparedness and respones to natural disasters. I had about 1hour to work and I could have lots of questions when meeting and researching. I was working on finding out. Research about the lines of inquiry part2
How would it be different if we research for safety or not, How is the earth structure changing and preparedness changing because of that, What will happen if we prepare for community, and How does building change. Getting information went well, communicate about question well, and finding the right book went well. I need to work on having a little more question. -

I had research about how we could prepare for earthquake and tsunami. For what I learned connected to world, I could tell to other people and community so the world could survive from ND. Tommorow I could research for how we could prepare for other ND.
