    This changed education by making sure everyone was educated, between ages eight and fourteen. Citizens started to realize just how important education was, and that it was not just for the wealthy. This sparked more schools to open, and more people to be educated. Massachusetts, 1852.

    The first opportunity for early childhood education began in Watertown, Wisconsin. Based off the Froebel German model, it was the first chance for young children to really learn, excel, and develop. Not much was known about early childhood education before this.
