    Curious George
    When I was 6 years old my mom would read me Curious George books. These series of books would be about a monkey that lived with a man with a yellow hat. He would go on adventures with this man throughout life. I would enjoy these books while laying in bed with my brother as my mom read to us.
  • Judy Moody

    Judy Moody
    At the age of 8 years I began to start to read books on my own larger type of book series. I would read for 15-20 minutes almost every night before bed. My older brother also read these books when he was my age so we would talk about them to each other. Judy Moody was a series that my brothers and I enjoyed and would talk about to each other
  • Restart

    Restart
    On my journey of continuing to read on my own I discovered the book Restart. It was about a boy who fell through a roof and went in a coma. He forgets everything and has to "restart" his life. This book was one that drove me to pick up more books and read more often.
  • Plunked

    In 5th grade (11 years old) I began a long phase of sports books by Michael Northrop. These books consisted of baseball books about a person, around my age at the type, that was competing for a starting spot. He would practice consistently and work hard. I believe this is one of the books that motivated me to work hard always to successfully reach the outcome I envisioned
  • Code of Honor

    Code of Honor
    Alan Gratz, the author I enjoyed more than anything. I got into his books by my brother. He gave me Code of Honor to read. I read this book multiple times before I read other books by him. Some of the books I enjoyed were Prisoner B-3087, Projekt 1065, Refugee, Grenade and Allies. These books were my favorite to read to this day. These books interested me so much and were the type of book that I did not want to put down
  • Rich Dad Poor Dad

    Rich Dad Poor Dad
    During the pandemic I was bored and wanted to read a book. I , once again, took a book from my brother. This book is about a kid and friend that learn from two parents with different perspectives. Through the book it teaches about money and gives me another type of book I enjoy.
  • Scarlet Letter

    Scarlet Letter
    A more challenging book that was read in school and out of school helped me become more advanced. This book is about a women who lost her life when she conceives a daughter from another man that she is not married to. This book interested me and helped me find more books that I enjoy
  • Black Hawk Down

    Black Hawk Down
    The most recent book I read over the summer was Black Hawk Down. I enjoyed this book as it reminded me of Code of Honor. This book was about a rescue team that got stranded and had to fight in a battle to retrieve the men. More books like this one is something I want to read more often
