  • iPod

    iPod
Developed by Apple in 2001, the iPod brought music to the hands of the consumers. Other competing portable music players had an awful user interface while being big and clunky, or small and useless. This is where Apple saw an opportunity to enter this market with their own design. Due to the iPod, people had a portable music player that was not only user-friendly, but also was able to hold hundreds of songs. Additionally, without the iPod, the iPhone would have never been developed.

  • Twitter

    Twitter
Twitter was created by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams. Instead of providing purely a digital space for people to gather, Twitter became a source of live information. This heavily changed the way journalism and geopolitical conflict was talked about. Twitter provided the average person a medium to broadcast, to a large group of people, live communication as events were unfolding.
  • Nintendo Wii

    Nintendo Wii
The Nintendo Wii was developed by Nintendo while Satoru Iwata was the company's president. Due to the Nintendo Wii, moment controls became popular among future consoles such as the Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Kinect for the Xbox 360, and Sony's playstation move system. The Wii also enabled people to work out whilst playing video games. Specifically, while playing Nintendo Wii Sports.
  • iPhone

    iPhone
Officially announced on January 9, 2007, the iPhone was developed and created by Apple and its partners. The CEO of Apple during this time was Steve Jobs. Thanks to the iPhone, people were able to make phone calls, listen to music, and surf the web all on the same device. Although other phone developers out there dominated the market, Apple built their iPhone around one brilliant design: A multi-gesture touch screen. This design allowed apps to create any user interface they dreamed of.
