Lego Building
My first memory of ever reading in my life was when I would build Legos. I would have to read the instructions in order to build this robot for my little Lego man. -
First time Writing
When I first began to write it wasn't difficult to find the words in my head, however my structure was terrible. I would write things Backwards and write them from right to left, while at the same time writing down to up. Completely reverse. -
Making stories in the Playground
I remember when I first began liking and making stories was while I pretended to be a pirate with my friends inside of this small wooden playground, then we would pretend to fight our rival Captain SlimeBeard! -
First long book I ever read
The first book I was ever forced to read was Percy Jackson and the Olympians in 6th grade, which I ended up enjoying, My teacher had only read around 5 chapters in that book but he never finished it. I later read the book on my own and its whole collection. -
First Book I disliked
Books which I may have not enjoyed were still important to me. A Long Walk to Water a book I would completely come to despise, not because of the book itself, but work that came along with it. It was then I decided english was definitely not my strong point or let alone my future. -
8th Grade teacher experience
My teacher for English in 8th grade, the year after I decided I didn't enjoy English, Mr. Laydon had slightly changed my opinion after he taught my class the ways of writing and storytelling, I could finally be slightly okay with English thanks to a good teacher. -
Real Attempts at Writing
it was around this time where I began to transform my silly ideas into writing, then I hit a bump, I realized I was a terrible writer and I couldn't turn my ideas into words. I then came to a conclusion I would take the next hardest class for english believing that even if I wasn't ready I would be forced to adapt to the more difficult class and I would learn more, I would later regret this. -
Growing
Though I may not do a lot of height growing, I did in fact improve my writing and literature skills in sophomore year. Beginning with The Scarlet Letter, a book which I struggled with back then. 10th grade may have been a rollercoaster but it wasn't until I met someone who completely outclassed me, I was dumbfounded on how someone could understand something so well, now every time I write and begin to finish I know I haven't wrote enough or good enough and keep writing.
