  • Quebec Conference

    • Second of 3 conferences discussing confederation
    - This conference it was established who would join confederation and also how they would go about doing it.
  • Newfoundland Rejects Confederation

  • London Conference

    • Third and last Conference discussing the idea of conferation
    • All Political leaders from the colonies travelled to London to ask permission so become our own country -The response from the British government was suprisingly in favour of the confederation of the Canadian colonies.
  • Confederation Of Canada

    • After long discussion on the topic of confederation all of the colonies became in agreement and joined as one country
  • Newfoundland Joins Confederation

    - After almost 100 years of British colonization Newfoundland finally decided it would be best to join the confederation of Canada
  • Territory Of Nunavut Established

    • Nunavut was created on April 1, 1999 to accommodate the cultural and linguistic diversity of the Inuit indians. It was a long held goal of the Canadian government to see this section of the territory become part of the federation.
