1991

First SSD developed by SanDisk Corporation. They are much lighterweight than conventional hard disks and have helped manufactures make ultra-thin devices.

Palm Pilot

1996

The Palm Pilot was the first successful handheld computer. It could easily share information with desktop computers. The founders of Palm Computing and inventors of the Pilot are Jeff Hawkins, Donna Dubinsky, and Ed Colligan.

Digital Versatile Discs (DVD)

1997

Digital Versatile Discs changed the way we watched movies. Twister was the first movie released on a DVD. It was first invented in 1995 and became available in the United States in 1997. Sony, Philips, Pioneer, Toshiba, Time Warner, Mitsushita, Mitsubishi, Thomson, Hitachi and JVC are the group credited for inventing the DVD.

Apple Releases iMac

1998

All in one design concept. Plus this time it looks cool. This concept was easier for consumers to set up and took up less desk top space.

iBook G3 Released

1999

Apple released the iBook to provide a consumer friendly laptop option.
