Merchants were taxed more on imports such as sugar and molasses. -
Stamp Act
It was the First tax on the americans and had them want to start a rebellion to be away from the british more than before. -
Quartering Acts
Two acts were passed that the colonists have to house and help out in anyway a soldier if asked the colonist. -
Townshend Acts
It was the british using power over the Americans by taxing imported goods from britton like glass, paper, lead. -
Boston Massacre
Colonists at the time wanted the british out. The colonists started a riot by throwing clubs and ice balls at the british. One of the british men dropped their gun and it fired after that it was proven that a colonist yelled fire from behind and the british fire. They were brought to court and proven non guilty. -
Boston Tea Party
The people threw the tea on the ships from britain to prove a point that they don't want to be taxed anymore. -
Intolerable Acts
After the Boston tea party it was because the massachusetts people dumped the tea in the water. It was a punishment. -
Lexington and Concord
It was a battle and they knew that the british were coming from sea because of the two lamps on the church.
