The death of Alexander the Great, June 323 BC
After cementing the bond between Persia and his empire and greatly furthering the empire created by his father, his death was mourned by many. He earned the title Alexander the Great as a memory for all he did. -

Further expansion in the Eastern Lands
He allowed all the areas he conquered to have freedom of religion and keep their governors. He expanded his rule even further to the stretches of the Indus Valley in India. He adapted some of these customs for support and recognition. To help cement the bond between Persia, he married Darius III's daughter and convinced others under his empire to do the same. -

The Fight at the Issus Coast, November 333 BC
Darius and Alexander the Great meet again at the Issus Coast. Darius is well-prepared this time and has a larger army to fight against the growing size of Alexander and his empire. Alexander uses the phalanx with increased spears to once again defeat Darius. Darius fled but Alexander had the upper hand, capturing Darius' children and wife. -

Battle of Gaugamela against Persia, October of 331 BC.
The final battle against Persia and Alexander was in the land of Gaugamela. Again seeing that he couldn't win the battle in front of him, he fled. He was caught and killed in battle, securing victory for Alexander the Great. He had successfully conquered the land of Persia. -

Continued on his journey, conquered Egypt.
He continued East and conquered the land of Egypt, creating one of the most famous cities of Alexandria. He allowed them to keep their religions gaining supporters and was announced to be a "god" by the oracle further increasing supporters in this and other regions. -

Attempted treaty of peace between Persia and Alexander ,333 BC.
Darius bargained to try and get his family from the hands of Alexander the Great. He offered half of his kingdom to Alexander, but he refused. Alexander wanted to claim Persia rightfully and continued to battle against them. -

Invasion of Anatolia, The Battle of Granicus May of 334 BC.
He wanted to defeat Persia's ruler, Darius III, and take over their land. Darius sent a few generals to fight his battle. Alexander quickly won the battle and continued to Persia. -

Alexander the Great is born.
He took over after his father King Phillip II was murdered. He was on the throne at the young age of 20 years of age.
