Hooke is an English philosopher and archetect. He lived from July 18, 1635- March 3, 1703. He is known for his law, "Hooke's Law". Also, he is known for first calling the basic unit of life a cell.

Matthias Jakob Schleiden

Matthias was a German botanist. He lived from April 5, 1804- June 23 1881. While working as a professor he wrote a contrabution that stated all organisms are made of cells. He also dicovered the importance of a cell nucleus.
