Ptolemy an earth centered universe
Ptolemy wrote a book with all of the ancient knowledge of astronomy that he could find, he used mathematical calculations which he called Ptolemaic theory. He thought the Earth was at the center of the universe and the other planets and the sun revolved around the earth, even though it was wrong he predicted the motions of the planets better then any other theory. -

According to Copernicus's theory, the sun is at the center of the universe and all of the planets, including the Earth, orbit the sun. When copernicus's thoery was excepted it was known as Copernican revolution. -
