Band Trip to Hawaii
For a week in June, my high school marching band (Cedar Rapids Jefferson) went to Honolulu, Hawaii. We had performances at Pearl Harbor, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and marching in the King Kamehameha Parade in downtown Honolulu. We were also able to snorkel, swim at North Shore Beach, and attend an authentic luau. Jefferson Band Website -
Move into College
In the fall of 2007 I moved into my freshman dorm at Simpson College in Indianola, IA. This was a huge transition for me to be over 2 hours away from my family for the first time in my life. Simpson College Home Page
