O.J. may have once been the role model for young boys across the U.S. But that all changed when he murduerd his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her freind Ronald Goldman. he was first in 1994 O.J. was acquittal because they didnt have enought evidence. Years later O.J. was brought in on robbery charges and is currently doing time in Nevada. -

Centennial Olympic Park bombing
Centennial Olympic Park was like New York's central park to Atlanta, during the Olympic game in 1996. People were gathered on the evening of the 27th to listen to singer song writer Max Carl, little did they know that they would get more of an explosive performance. While people were socializing and waiting for a the show Eric Robert Rudolph slipped in and planted bombs that killed 3 people and injury more than a hundred. He was later rightfully convicted to life in prison. -
blackout of 1996
Though It may not be clear what cause the blackout of 1996 in august it is safe to say that it was a major wack up call to energy laws concerning how energy is managed. It also humbled many american and was a much needed lesson in humility. -

The columbine high school massacre was a response to years of bullying and the insensitivity that Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold received, they killed 13 people and injured 24 others. They should forever be held as an example for why people should be more accepting and sensitive to one another. -

The events of 9/11 were tragic to say the least thousands died here on us soil in a series of attacks by al-Qaeda a group led by the name of Osama bin Laden. Al-Qaeda sent many groups of men to 4 different places in the U.S. to get on flights hi-jack the plane and crash them into places of significance in the U.S. one into the white house (didn’t make it) another into the pentagon and the last two into The world trade centers. -

Commonly referred to as the war on terror that started after 9/11 code name “enduring freedom.” The war on terror was lead by The United States, The United Kingdom, Australia and The Northern Alliance. Their main goal was to eliminate all terrorist organizations based in Afghanistan. Which they achieved in on May 2, 2011 when they found and murdered Osama bin Laden. Thus ending another chapter of ever cycling revenge and death. -
Concorde embarks on its final flight from New York to London.
The airplane dubbed "Concorde" embarked on its final flight from New York to London. It was joint built in 1976 by the British and French government. The plane was able to fly up to 11 miles above the earth’s surface and reached up to speeds of 1,350 mph. The Concorde was retired from service because of general downturn in the aviation industry after the type's only crash in 2000, 9/11. -
I-35W Mississippi River bridge collapse
Construction of the I-35W Mississippi River Bridge began in 1964 and opened in November 1967 and stayed open until its collapse in 07. The collapse was due to a design flaw that led to the death of 13 people and injuring 145. It was a major wake up call to people and the protocols the federal government puts into place. -
inauguration of Barack Obama
Barack Obama was inaugurated as the 44th president on January 20, 2009. The election of barrak obama is Significant because it show how diverse the untied states has become. Other then being black i can't say Barak has done much for the United State. Other then helping gays stay anonymous in the millitary and extended health care to people that cant afford it.
