The Bill of Rights are the first 12 amendments of the constitution.It was made on September 25, 1789. It was in action in December 15, 1791. -
Louisiana Purchase
The treaty was signed by Robert Livingston, James Monroe, and Barbé Marbois. Thomas Jefferson announced it on July 4th. Lousiana doubled the size of the colonies. -
Lewis and Clark Expedition
This was the first American expedition to cross the west of the U.S. This went on until 1806. It was also known as the Corps of Discovery Expedition. -

Florida became a state in 1845 but it was America's territory in 1819. -
Indian Removal Act
This act was passed by Congress on May 28, 1830. Andrew Jackson was president at the time. -
Trail Of Tears
The Cherokee nation was forced to leave their home. They settled in Oklahoma. Over 4,000 Cherokees died. They died of hunger, disease, and exhaustion. -

War was declared on May, 13. -
Transcontinetal Railroad Completion
The railroad was 1,907 mi. long.
