Van Diemen's land became a seperate colony to New South Wales. -

Governor Arthur ordered all Aboriginal people to leave areeas that the colonists settled. -
Relocation
1829-1834 George Augustus Robinson, under goverment action helped relocate the few remaining Aboriginals to Flidners island. There they were forced to wear European clothing and attend Christian church. -
Attempted capture
Two thousand soldiers formed lines to drive out the Aboriginal people in the warring area. -
Finshed relocating
The Europeans had finished relaocating the Aboriginal people to Flinders Island to convert then to European life. -
The remaining few
47 survivors remained but were resettled to Oyster Bay near Hobart were they continued to die. -
The Last One
Truganini was the last survivor at Oyster bay. -
