His parents were mathematicians which inspired his fascination for computers. After graduating from high school Tim attended Queens College at Oxford University and graduated in 1976 with a degree in physics. -
Computer Creation!
While at Oxford University Tim was very adventurous he spent a lot of time experimenting and working on personal projects. Post Grad Work
Time began to work at Plessy Telecommunications after graduating from university. Plessy is a telecommunication manufacturer in the United Kingdom.

Beggining of Tims Personal Projects
Tim moved from Plessy and began to work for DG Nash, as this new job he was able to work on operating systems as well as typesetting software. Next, as he grew in his career he began to work at CERN, at CERN he was able to do independent consultant software work.

Tims Personal Projects
While working at CERN, on the side Tim was able to write his own private program for storing information. He then went on to write a program called Empire. Empire as a program was the beginning of the formation of the World Wide Web programming. -
Browsers develop
After 1989 which was Tim's initial draft of the World Wide Web, in 1993 he went on to create and publish web browsers. Search engines, as well as Netscape Navigators all came to fruition during this time period.

World Wide Web Consortium
Tim at this point went on to create the World Wide Web Consortium, which was produced in a LAB at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The World Wide Web Consortium is a range of organizations that drive the core of the Internet. They are responsible to entertainment, publishing and more. Which is the basis formation of Web standards.

Weaving the Web
Along with Mark Fischetti, Tim Lee was able to publish and write the book alongside a partner titled Weaving the Web. Which was created to "address the questions most people ask - From "What were you thinking when you invented it?" through "So what do you think of it now?" to "Where is this all going to take us?", this is the story." - in TimBL words -
More Milestones
As Tim continued on in his career, he became the founder of a non-profit private company named ODI, The Open Data Institute. This institute works to inspire people to act on injustice and inequality. The goal of this company is to deliver transformational change and provide high-quality recognized research that informs policy design and leadership.

Journey into Education
As Tim continued in his career he worked to educate the community. By doing this he worked his way up to becoming a professor at The University of Oxford, where he taught in the Computer Science Department.

Tim become the co-founder and CEO of Inrput! As the inventor of the World Wide Web, Tim created Inrupt to provide enterprise-grade Solid software and services. (Inrupt.com) The products within Inrupt are used for security, operation proficiency, and to help aid in the drive for the next modular design as well as true data ownership. All in all the overall goal is to de-centeralize the web.

Nobel Prize of Computing
ACM AM Turning Prize was awarded to Tim Lee for all his work and accomplishments over the years. Without Tim's tireless work to create the World Wide Web or how many know it as www. we wouldn't have the same internet access as we do now. This specific award is considered the most prestigious award in the computer science world. -
