    This act posed a tax on all sugar items including sugar, and molasses.

    The Stamp Act was much hated among the colonies as it imposed a tax on all legal documents, meaning it had to carrya stamp showing you had payed a tax before it was allowed to be shipped.

    The Townshend Act
    The Townshend Acts were actually multiple acts including taxes on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. After a while all of these were removed besides the tax on tea.

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston massacre was not actually a massacre but just a shooting. It started when a group of colonists were throwing snowballs at the British standing guard and when, against orders, one of the officers shot at the growing crowd of colonists killing 5 and wounding 8.

    The Boston Tea Party was when 50 men disguised as Mohawk indians dumped 342 chests of tea into Boston harbor to get back at the British for the tax on imported tea.

    The Intolerable Acts were passed to punish the colonists for the bad things they did to the British like the dumping of tea in to Boston Harbor during the Boston Tea Party.

    This battle was caused because of a plan by the British to capture colonial leaders in Lexington and then to proceed to concord where they would get gun powder.

    Bunker Hill
    The fight of Bunker Hill was actuaslly fought on Breeds Hill, which was closer to the British that were located in Boston. Even though they went to Breeds Hill on accident, the British still took it as a threat and attacked even though the Americans had the more strategic place at the top of Breeds Hill. The British ended up winning the battle.

    Common Sense was a book written by a patriot named Thomas Paine. This book heavily pushed things along on the road to revoltution by stressing the need for American independance. Although Thomas Paine did not sign the Declaratioin of Independancem, he is known for playing a key role in American Independance.

    The declaration of Independanvce was signed on this date. This document was sent to King George The Third. This important document played a key roll in the American Revolution as it declared independance from Britain.

    This battle took place on Christmas Day night after George Washington came up with a daring plan to make a sneek attack on the Hessians Christmas night. To do this they had to cross the Delaware River.

    Ticonderoga
    The fight of Ticonderoga was a large battle. After they were weakened by the British, the Americans withdrew.
