    -WIdely known in today's American history.
    -1963 Locke published "Some Thoughts of Concerning Education".
    -Three-pronged holistic approach to education.
    1) Control of bodily exercise and maintence of physical health.
    2) Development of a virtuous character.
    3) The training of the mind through practical and useful acedemic curriculm.
