Notes Nicholas Romanov was the t ruler in Russia while the the Bolshevik revolution was happening.Lenin the had sent the Romanov family right outside St. Petersburg so they wouldnt get hurt. Lenin sent the family to the basement of the house because it would be more protective. A group of twelve Red Army soldiers appeared in the basement and then shot the Romanovs so. Lenin could rise in power.
