Mali has collapsed. After Mansa Musa's detriment, Mali began to fall apart. It eventually became so weak that Songhai took control over Mali. Sunni Ali, overpowered the weak forces of Mali, and took over. He then became the Leader of Songhai. -

Askia Muhammad's made a trip to Mecca. This trip is called Hajj. During this trip, he gave away lots of gold, thus making the price of gold go down. Since he did this, a lot of people wanted to trade with Songhai more. Genius, huh? When he returned, he brought back famous Architects, Doctors, Scientists, and Scholars. He then made many Schools, Banks, and Mosques, making Songhai grow with power every second. -

This, my folks, is the end of the most powerful West African Empire. Invading forces from Morocco and Spain, helped ruin this once great empire. -
