Proclomation of 1763
This proclomation did not allow colonists to settle west ofof appalachian Mountains.The British government feared the conflict between colonist and Native Americanswould lead to another war.They also could not afford to pay British troops to defend the westernlands. Colonist were enranged by the proclamation because they felt they had won the right to settle in the Ohio River Valley after winning French and Indian War. -
Quartering Act
The Quartering Act said that colonist needed to house british troops,And also give troops supplys that they needed. They did this to defend colonist from attacks. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act forced the colonist to put and buy an official stamp, To put on on any commercial goods,letters,and notes. To increase tax revenue and pay off war debt. -
Tea Act and Boston Tea Parrty
Parliament repeals the acts,But left a taxe on tea. Which gives britain control over american tea. The Boston tea party is when americans go on board british ships and that are on the docks of Boston and destroy the tea because of the tea act. -
Townshend Act
This act suspended Newyorkers to meet up. Until they house troops . This also put revenueon stuff like glass, paint, and many other goods. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
Seven hundred British troops meet 70 militiamen at lexington, someone shot the first shots and does were called the shots heard around the world. eight militamen were dead. Militiamen retreat. British troops continue on then one thousand militiament and minute men met the troops again. patriots win british troops retreat. -
