iPod
The iPod was one of the first pocket size mp3 players. The first model had 5Gb of hard drive space and a rechargeable battery. The iPod was like most mp3 players that came before it. However, aesthetics separated it from the crowd. The iPod was sleeker and more attractive than other devices. Skype
Skype was founded in 2003 by Niklas Zennström, from Sweden, and Janus Friis, from Denmark. This video conferencing software was first released to the public on the 29th of August 2003. It was the first of its kind and an instant hit. Within 12 years of its founding Skype had over 300 million active members. In 2011 Microsoft acquired Skype for $8.5 billion. -

At 829.8 meters tall, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. (It has 162 stories.) It took 6 years and $1.5 billion dollars to build this structure.The tower is made out of glass, steel, aluminium, and reinforced concrete. Facebook was founded by 19 year-old Mark Zukerburg. He was a sophomore at Harvard at the time. Although it was founded in 2004, the website was not open to the public until September 26, 2006. Facebook is considered one of the most successful social networking sites. It is the site you think about when the topic of social media comes up. As of March 2013, Facebook reported having 1.1 billion active, global members. -

My grandfather died in 2009. My dad realized it was his responsibility to take care of his newly widowed mom and we moved. I did not like the country at first but as time passed by I made many friends and got used to the culture. -

The Tesla Model was the first totally electric car someone would actually want to drive. With its good looks and performance it redefined the electric car. The Three Georges Dam in China is the worlds largest in terms of electricity production. It has a generating capacity of 22,500 megawatts. This power plant dethroned Itaipú hydroelectric power plant in Brazil and Paraguay which had a capacity of 14,500 megawatts. The Georges Dam is 2335 meters long and 181 meters tall. Got accepted by South Breeze School
SBS is a renowned private school located in the capital of Dhaka. Admission is very competitive ( although the school is not that great ). I never expected that i would get accepted. -

After I was finished up with my GCSEs (general certificate of education) I moved into my aunts place in gllen allen, VA. I was unable to start school for 6 weeks as i was waiting for my international transcripts to get evaluated. When i got enrolled into Deep Run High School I had to repeat a grade as it was to late to start school as a senior.
