    The Taiping Rebellion was a huge civil war in the southern region of China. It was an uprising against the Qing dynasty. It was led by Hong Xiuquan, who claimed that he had visions in which he was informed that he was Jesus's younger brother. At least 20 million people were killed, especially civilians.
