The Pennsylvania Turnpike is a toll highway that runs for 360 miles across the state. This turnpike helps to get from one town to another in Pennsylvania and it was the first ever four-lane highway. Think about how much faster you could get places with so much space on the road! -
Global Positioning System (GPS)
The Global Positioning System or (GPS) is a network of about 30 satellites orbiting the Earth. There are signals being sent back and forth, traveling at the speed of light, that are intercepted by your GPS receiver, which calculates how far away each satellite is based on how long it took for the messages to arrive. Pretty cool right! -
