LEGO Founding
LEGO is a Danish toy company founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen. It was made by the Danish words "leg godt" which means to play. The company has been passed down from father to son and is now owned by the grandson to the original owner. -

Name Change
Christiansen decided to change the name of the company to LEGO from "Leg Godt". The original name was said to be to weird because of how the language reflected actually in Denmark which later lead to it being a huge future brand, -
New Managment
The current owner steps down and passes the company onto his son who will hold the company for the longest and shape it into the huge business that it is today. His son Godtfred Kirk Christiansen starts to take over. -
Interlocking Bricks
The first interlocking bricks were made in 1958. They are still currently comparable with bricks made today and have been the base model for all Lego structures.
