As an effective speaker, Hitler is named leader of the Nazi Party, earning the title der Führer. Hitler now has a very large following of people and groups. But, this is only making the communists more upset. -

The Nazis, who are led by Hitler, try to overthrow the German governmet. Unfortunately, they fail and Hitler is arrested and put in jail. -

Mein Kampf is published. The book is an autobiography written by Adolf Hitler while he was in jail. Mein Kampf reveals the political ideas of Hitler and the Nazi Party. -
Germany violates the Treaty of Versailles
Germany violates part of the Treaty of Versailles by militarizing the Rhineland. Under the treaty, the Allied forces were supposed to have Rhineland for fifteen years. -
WWII begins
When Nazi Germany invades Poland, it sparked the beginning of WWII. France and Britain then declare war on Germany.
