1st Voyage
1477 he sailed to Iceland and Ireland as a merchant and bought lots of sugar in Madeira. -

Marrige
1479 he met and married Felipa Perestrello e Moniz. A member of an impoverished noble Portuguese family. Their son, Diego, was born in 1480. -
Jan 1, 1485
Death of wife
Felipa died in 1485, and Columbus took as his mistress Beatriz Enríquez de Harana of Córdoba, and had his second son, Ferdinand. Columbus also convinced Queen Isabella and the King to finance his voyage. -

2nd Voyage
Columbus discovers Bahamian islands and Americas. Christopher Columbus named an island San Salvador but mostly referred to it as “Guanahani.” Although a passenger aboard the Pinta spotted it, Columbus still took credit and decided to give the money to himself. -

3rd Voyage
Christopher Columbus finds yet another landfall, Hispaniola. Many died on the way to discover this.He found gold here, and became very rich. Later to be hated by natives for being used as slaves. -

Last Days
Columbus spent the last 18 months of his life unhappy, often having a restless mind summoning for the money and namesake he deserved. His loving family took care of him to his final days. -

Among Columbus’s return, he comes down with a poor health condition; Reiter's syndrome. Being sick in bed at 53 waiting relentlessly for Queen Isabella to give him her position. -

Death
On May 20th 1504, the great italian explorer: Columbus said goodbye and died in Valladolid, Spain as a very disappointed, mistreated man. He had accomplished much in life and “discovered” our home today.
