    Later Baekje independent by peasant revolution and Silla. During
    Later Three Kingdoms period, Silla, Later Baekje, and Goryo were fighting against each other but in 936 Goryeo finally took over the peninsula.

    Goryeo Dynasty

    10-11th century: Interaction between China, Make the dynasty stable, the spread of confucianism.

    13th century: Mongol Domination
    14th century: damage from pirates, split into Ming Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty, military got weaker
    In 1392, Yi Song-Gye (이성계) defeated the Goryeo Dynasty and established the Joseon Dynasty.

    Modern Korea

    After the Korean war, South Korean government focused on developing diplomacy especially on exports to rise their GDP. IMF. Eventually, they held olympic and a soccer world cup with Japan. Also, the huge boom of K-pop and K-dramas are now one of the biggest industry in South Korea.
    North Korea was always a communist country. They were well-living than South Korea by the support from Russia and China. They also had more natural resources.

    The Korean war is still a ceasefire.
