Karch was born on November 3rd, 1960
Father played for the Nation Hungarian Volleyball Team.
His father inspired him all through his life. -
High School Career
Karch went to Santa Barbara Highschool and started for the volleyball team all four years. His father founded the program and helped it grow. The highschool won the CIF SS Title in 1978, leading with Karch Kiraly. -
College
Karch went to UCLA and studied biochemistry. He played on the volleyball team all four years and was the star player. Karch never got arrogant and always led the team to victory! The team won 129 games while he was there and only 5 losses. -
Other Training
Played on the American National Team and stayed in it for much of the 1980's. The team won two Olympic gold medals with Karch in 1984 and 1988. He was team captain and communicated well with his teamates. -
Martial Status-Married with Children
Karch is married to Janna Kiraly. They have two sons, Kristian and Kory. -
Italy Volleyball
Inbetween playing for the nation team and beach volleyball, Karch traveled to Italy. While he was there he played a litttle club volleyball but soon returned to the U.S. He had great leadership, even in another country! -
Beach Volleyball Career
After he retired from the national team. Karch went on to play national beach volleyball. He won the first men's Olympic volleyball tournament. A gold medal once again! Him and his partner were very good teamates with amazing attitudes toward the game. -
ESPN Broadcaster
Karch has been working as an ESPN Broadcaster in addition to doing other broadcasts. He served as an anylyst for NBC Sports coverage of the Beach Volleyball in the 2008 Olympics. He enjoyed broadcasting the news so other small town boys like him could get informed about sports. -
Assisstant Coach
Karch was an assisstant coach for the USA Women's National Volleyball Team. The team played in the London 2012 Olympics, barely missing the gold medal. One of the best assistant coaches of all time they called him! -
Head Coach
Karch has now been named Head Coach of the USA Women's National Volleyball Team. He will lead his team to victory in the 2016 Olympics. He has worked very well so far with his team and plan to establish a good realtionship with all of the girls. -

1.Won Three National Championships at UCLA.
2.He was named FIVB (International Volleyball Federation) player of the year in 1986 and 1988.
3.He has also won over $3,000,000 in prize money during his career, which is more than any other player.
4. Wrote an autobiography about his amazing journey.
5. He entered his first beach volleyball tournament at the age of 9 with his father.
