Spinning Jenny
Invented by a carpenter, James Hargreaves, the Spinning Jenny allowed weavers to weave more than one thread at a time. It was able to weave up to eight peices of thread. -
Water Frame
Created by Richard Arkwright, this invention helped produce yarn faster and stronger. It was originally named th "spinning frame" but was to large to operate by hand, and so water was the best source of power to operate this machine. -

Crompton's mule
Created by Samuel Crompton, which is a combination of the Spinning Jenny and the water frame. It produces strong, fine yarn. By 1812, the cost for yarn had gone down by nine-tenths, and the amount of workers needed to make it had dropped to four-fiths. -
