The third estate started calling themselves The National Assembly. The morning soldiers got worried when the chamber doors were locked. They met at the tennis court and made an oath to not separate and to reassemble wherever and when ever. -
March on Versailles
Women went on a march from Paris to Versailles in hopes to get bread cause it was to expensive to make. they were armed with pitch forks and pikes. They were chanting BREAD to the beat of the drum. -
Royal Family Attempts to Flee
The royal family attempted to leave pairs. The king noticed with the revolution things were getting dangerous. They were caught in Varennes and the government became mean towards the family and trying to do things to them. -
Champ De Mars Massacre
The people of France went against the national assembly. This ended in a massacre. The assembly said the guy can still be king but under a constitutional monarchy. -
The First Invasion of the Tuileries
This was a big turning point for the revolution. The people ambushed on the Tuileries. Which was the home of the king and legislative assembly. -
Overthrow of The Monarchy
The French revolutionaries overturned the monarchy. They found king Louis guilty of a crime. Then the monarchy got voted out. -
Execution of The King
The king got executed by the guillotine. Revolutionaries made his wife watch him get his head chopped off. He got sentenced because he got accused of plotting with alien powers. -
Reign of Terror
It lasted about 6 months. It held the most executions ever in that short amount of time. It started with the kings wife then went from there. -
Execution of The Queen
Marie Antoinette or the kings wife got executed by the guillotine too, which is a tool to chop off someones head.. She was the first person to get killed for the Reign of Terror. Her children were now on their own. -
Execution of Robespierre
It was towards the end of the revolution. He was against the death penalty but was they main part on executing the king. The people didn't like him so they made him get arrested and he was executed the next day.
