Nuclear Tennis
William Higginbotham, who helped in the creation of the A bomb, invented Tennis For Two, to attract visitors to the Brookhave National laboratory's open houses. Atari, a system invented later on, made Pong based off of Tennis for Two. -
Space War

Chase
Ralph Baer invented Chase, the first game to be played on a TV set, which became common for many future games, such as X-box & the Wii -
Magnovox
The magnovox is released, though it never became that popular and it is very little known. -
Galaxy Game
The first arcade game, Galaxy Game, was released. Later, many other games started showing up in arcades around Japan, U.K, and the U.S. -
Computer Space
Computer Space, invented by Nolan Bushnell was invented, though it was too complicated for its time and not very many were placed into arcades. -
PONG!
Pong was invented and released with the Atari and became a huge success and got many people into videogames. -

PACMAN
PACMAN was released and was another extremely popular videogame where you run away from ghost while eating little dots. It was originally called Puckman but before Japan released it into the U.S, it was suggested that the name be changed so that people don't call it F---man. -
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong is released and is a huge hit and introduces Mario, who becomes a popular character in lots of Nintendo's future games. -
NES
The Nintendo Entertainment System was released and was a huge hit and lots of games such as the first Mario Kart games used it. -
SNES
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System is released in the U.S. and is another huge hit as the NES was. -
Playstation
Sony releases the playstation, which grows to be one of the most popular video game systems ever. -
Gameboy
Nintendo releases the Gameboy, the first portable game system with removable cartridges. -
Nintendo 64
The nintendo 64 is released and is the first major video game system to have analog sticks and buttons on the same controller. -
X-Box
Microsoft goes ino the video game market with the X-Box. It was played to much when it first comes out but it rises to be one of the biggest video game systems wen X-Box 360 comes out several years later. -
Wii
The Wii, the first major video game system to have wireless motion sensing remotes, is released. It was originally going to be called the Revolution but it was changed to Wii before being released. -
PS3
