The First Fleet
this is the day that the first fleet arived in port jackson. the fleet consisted of 11 ships containing arms, convicts, food and tools to set up a new land. the fleet was led by Captain Arthur Phillip. the convicts were used as hard labour but after they had served there time were able to colinise the new land. Many people today mark this as the invation of australias abouriginal people. -
French Revolution
The french revolution was during 1789-1799, lasting a total of 10 years. It was between the french royals and nobels, and the french commoners who were fed up of having to pay for rediculously high taxes and low living standards. In the end king loius the xvi and his wife mary antoinette were beheaded via the guillotine. -

Gold discovered in Australian
Gold is descovered in Australia. this brings wealth and new migrants to Australia. Melbourne is now the richest city in the world and many new buildings come up. many of the "diggers" are unhappy with the rules of the gold laws and soon rebel. this event is known as the eureka stockade. -

the first world war broke out. it was ment to be the war that ended all wars. it was fought between the allied forces and thecentral powers. it is remebered as one of the most bloody wars of history, for the fightine technique involved a fire and charge. lots of people were killed and many more wounded. a total of 9 million people were killed. -
