The Australian’s believed that it was their duty to fight to help the British Empire. They also thought they were fighting to make the world a better and safer place. When Great Britain declared war on Germany, Australia addressed the news with much eagerness.

    Both Australia and Britain share the love of competing in the Ashes, which started in 1817. Australia was influenced by Britain just years after the First Fleet arrived. The two countries do play soccer too.
    The language we speak in Australia is exactly the same as Britain, English.
    Australia and Britain share a head of state, Queen Elizabeth the 2nd.
    The foods corn on the cob, fish and chips and pavlova cake were brought to Australia from Britain.
