Gliders Invented
George Cayley became the first man to create a glider on this date. However, this glider was not flawless. The glider that George Cayley invented could not turn but in many years a method was discovered. In the picture, it shows George Cayley. -
Controlled Glider Flight Discovered
On this date, Otto Lilien fro Germany invented and launched a glider. The difference about this glider is that this glider's flight could be controlled. With this discovery, modern day gliders evolved with new gliders like flex-gliders. -
The Wright Brother's invention
The Wright brothers had already invented and tested the incredible and ingenious plane before, but on this historical day, the Wright brothers, for the first time ever, flew a controlled and heavier then air machine. This was the first flight ever and there are many recordings and celebrations of this day. -
First Canadian Designed Plane Flown

The Inventing of Helicopters
Igor Sikorsky, the inventor of the very first successful helicopter, Started working on helicopters from 1910 and in 1940 he had created a manmade machine that, unlike planes, could hover in the air. Future
In the futre, scientist think and hope that a variety of things will occur. For one, they hope to be able to create "space hotels" to house tourists for a few days on the moon. However, there are problem that come with this such as weightlessness and gravity problems. Scientist hope to get past these and create more space travel.
