Exposition-1-Background

Jul 12, 1264

A young girl named Igraine is daughter of powerful wizards. She wants to be a mighty knight one day but the rest of her family thinks she should be a wizard.

Exposition-2-Setting

Jul 12, 1264

The setting is at Pimpernel castle. It is the day before Igraine's twelth birthday.

Exposition-3-Characters

Jul 12, 1264

Lady Melisande is Igraines' mother who is married to Sir Lamorak who is Igraine's father. Igraine is an eleven year old girl who wishes to be a knight. Albert is Igraine's older brother who is in trainnig to become a powerful wizard. Sisyphus is Igraine's talking cat. The Singing Books of Magic are the most prized possesion of Sir Lamorak and Lady Melinsande.

Rising Action-1-Conflict

Jul 12, 1264

Bertram the master of horse comes from Darkrock castle to warn Igraine's family that Osmund is out to get the Singing Books of Magic. Also that the Baroness of Darkrock who is Osmund's aunt has gone missing.

Rising Action-2

Jul 12, 1264

Late at night Albert wakes up Igraine and takes her to their parents tower where they make the magic. Igraine's parents were working on her birthday present. Her parents accientally turned themselves into pigs, so they can't protect themselves from Osmund with magic.

Rising Action-3

Jul 13, 1264

It is Igraine's twelfth birthday. Her parents give her a suit of armor as a present. They also tell her they need red giant's hairs to turn themselves back into humans. Igraine decides she will go find the giant's hairs.

Rising Action-4

Jul 14, 1264

Igraine is about to leave to get the giant's hairs when she sees an army outside of the castle. It is Osmund's army and they are there to retrieve the Singing Books of Magic. Albert lies and says that their parents aren't there but are on a journey and won't be back for about two weeks, so they won't be able to givethem the books.

Rising Action-5

Jul 14, 1264

Albert has to use the Singing Books of Magic to protect the castle from Osmund while Igraine is gone. Igraine plans to ride Lancelot the fastest horse at Darkrock. Lancelot is a swift horse whose hair is white. This will make it faster to retrieve the giant's hairs.

Rising Action-6

Jul 14, 1264

Igraine arrives at Darkrock castle which is swarming with people. She is also in disguise. She finds out that Bertram is in the dungeon and she rescues him. She also makes it out of Darkrock riding Lancealot.

Climax-7

Jul 15, 1264

Igraine retrieves the giant's hairs. The giant takes Igraine to a tower on the mountain of tears and they find the Sorrowful Knight. The Sorrowful Knight agrees to take Igraine back home to Pimpernel castle. Now things start to look up because Igraine can give the hairs to her piggy parents. In doing this they will regain their powers and be able to defeat Osmund's army. They also return to the castle this day.

Falling Action-1

Jul 16, 1264

Osmund's men try to get into the castle by using a batterin ram but fail because of Albert's magical spells that are cast on them. Also the moat is enchanted so if you fall into it you will be turned into a fish,and there are gargoyles that will swallow cannons and arrows that are shot at the castle.

Jul 16, 1264

Albert has just found out that Rowan Heartless has an enchanted lance which is how he dishonored the Sorrowful Knight by beating him in jousts long ago. So Igraine and Berttram plan to discharm Rowan's lance before the joust so the Sorrowful Knight will win. Igraine and Bertram use dragon pelts which will make them invisible while they sneak into the tent of Rowan Heartless.

Falling Action-4

Jul 16, 1264

Igraine discharms the lance with magical powder and a spell. Then while Igraine is still in the tent Rowan Heartless enters to rest. Igraine tries her best to keep the dragon skin on and notices Bertram has already left. Then they here a hoarse trumpet outside of the tent.

Resolution-1

Jul 16, 1264

Just before the Sorrowful Knight is about to leave to go to the joust Igraine decides she wants to be his squire. The challenge was won by the Sorrowful Knight. Then Osmund lied and said that Igraine had worked some magic so that Rowan Heartless would lose and that they cheated. So he ordered his soldiers to capture Igriane and the Sorrowful Knight.

Resolution-2

Jul 16, 1264

Albert comes with his parents in human form to rescue Igraine and the Sorrowful Knight. The parents put a spell on Osmund and Rowan Heartless so that they were floating in mid-air. Osmund confessed that Rowan was hiding the three ladies in Rowan's tent and that he had turned them into birds. The three ladies were in the possesion of the Sorrowful Knight but Rowan had captured them a long while ago.

Falling Action-2

Jul 16, 1264

Igraine's parents must soak in a magical bath for about an hour which will turn them back to humans. The downside to this is they will need all of the castles magical power for it to work. The castle will be defenseless against Osmund's army during this hour. The Sorrowful Knight decides he will challenge Rowan Heartless to a joust which will distract Osmund's army while Igraine's parent are soaking in the potion.

Falling Action-5

Jul 16, 1264

The Sorrowful Knight challenges Rowan Heartless and they talk about the rules and if the Sorrowful Knight wins the castle shall no longer be under seige. While they are deciding the rules for the match Igraine swim in the moat and tries to get in through a secret door but it is locked. Igraine can swim in the moat because she is part of the family. Her dragon cloak falls into the water and she is revealed but Albert opens the door just in time before the army captures her.

Resolution-3

Jul 16, 1264

They go into Rowans tent and turn the birds back into human form when they notice that there are four birds instead of three. Igraine, the Sorrowful Knight, and Igraine's family find that the fourth bird is the Baroness of Darkrock castle. The Sorrowful Knight is no longer Sorrowful because he has his honor back. He will stay with Igraine's family to learn magic and skills. Then he decides he will return the three ladies back home with the help of Igraine.The soldiers leave and all is peaceful.
