Sacco and Vanzetti Trial
Ferdinando Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were arrested and charged with the robbery and murder of a factory paymaster and his guard in South Braintree, Massachusetts. They were both sentenced to death and found guilty. -
19th Amendment ratified
The 19th Amendment gave women the right to vote. It was ratified 72 years after women had first convened and demanded the vote at the Seneca falls convention in 1848. -

Charles Lindbergh crosses the Atlantic.
Charles decided to travel across the Atlantic so he could win the prize of $25,000. It took him 33 hours and 29 minutes to complete the journey. He traveled 3,61 miles nonstop. -

First major movie with sound. Premiered at the Tower Theater in Los Angeles, California on October 6th, 1927. -

Mining engineer from Iowa. Never ran for office before. Told Americans, "We in America are nearer to the final triumph over poverty that ever before." which caused a lot of Americans to vote for him during the election. -
Stock Market Crash
Stock prices peaked and then fell. It only got worse after that. Helped lead into the Great Depression.
