Captain Cook
Captaian James Cook lands in Bottony Bay, Australia. Him and his crew map the land, sketch animals and plants and have meetings with the aboriginal people. -
Bennalong & Phillip
Captain Arthur Phillip leaves to go back to England taking bennalong with him. -
The first fleet
The first fleet, lead by Captain Arthur Phillip, lands in Sydney Cove. The first fleet included 11 ships which carried 548 male convicts, 118 convict wemen, 17 children and 227 marines, guards etc. -
Bennalong and Colby
Captain Phillip captures 2 Aboriginals, Bennalong and Colby. Colby soon ecapes but Bennalong Chooses to stay. Also the first convict was given land at Rose Hill, now known as Parramatta. -
The Lady Juliana
The Lady julianna, a ship of all female convicts arives at the colony bringing supplies which the mostly male colony welcome happily. -
Tasmania
A new colony, Van Deimens Land (now known as Tasmania) is set up for the worst criminals. -
Macquarie
Lachlan Macquarie establishes the colonys first official police force. -
Bank of NSW
The bank of NSW is establish and is now known as Westpac. -
THE GOLD RUSH
Gold to the rescue! Gold is found near Bathurst in NSW. The first gold rush commences. -
Bush rangers
BUSHRANGERS! Many people were ambushed by bushrangers on the ways in or out of the Bathurst gold fields. Ben Hall and Ned KLelly include some of the most notorious and infamous bush rangers. -
Federation
Australia becomes a federation. the commonwealth is born and it is officially named Australia.
