Albany Plan of Union
The Albany Plan of Union was a meeting set up by Benjamin Franklin in 1754 to encourage unity among the colonies to defeat the threat of native Americans.
"...hold or direct all Indian treaties, in which the general interest of the Colonies may be concerned; and make peace or declare war with Indian nations....That they make such laws as they judge necessary for regulating all Indian trade..."
