Annexation of Sudetenland
The Sudeten crisis began in February 1938 when Hitler demanded self-determination for all Germans in Austria and Czechoslovakia. Shortly after, Austrian Nazis rioted and invited Hitler to invade, which he did the following March, declaring Anschluss(connection).

Pearl Harbor
Japan attacked Pearl Harbor for the main purpose of destroying the U.S Pacific Fleet. The attack ended up being a fail because most of the U.S fleet and carriers were not present. Japan did change U.S's decision from being neutral in the war to declaring war on them.

The Philippines
Starting as U.S territory, The Japanese launched an unexpected attack on The Philippines after attacking Pearl Harbor. Japan's military immediately established a new organized government causing major political issues and guerilla activity.

Japanese Internment Camps
Japanese-Americans were seemed to be suspiciously unloyal to the Americans and their land. People were paranoid of the Japanese due to increase in attacks from their race and the possible security risks. Due to these beliefs, FDR signed and executive order to relocate the Japanese to their own "concentration" camps.

Midway
In general, Japan's goal was to destroy fleet in U.S and take over land East and Southwest of Asia and Pacific Islands. The U.S did know what Japan was going to do, because the Navy was able to successfully break the Japanese codes. Early one morning, Japan attacked Midway base and the U.S, located East of the island prepared for battle. Ended June 7, 1942.Critical U.S Victory.

Guadalcanal
The Japanese Imperial Navy was unable to have campaigns, which permitted the Allies to start their own in the Pacific. America landed at the Guadalcanal and fought to hold it for six months. There was struggle and disruption between the Japanese and U.S; the Japanese aircraft attacked transport and escort ships then later traveled to the place during this time.

Stalingrad
One of the longest, bloodiest engagements in warfare. The Battle was a military campaign between Russian forces, Nazi Germany and the Axis powers during World War II. Due to Hitler's view of the propaganda, Stalingrad offered good industry and environmental factors. The Russian's shipped much of the stores of grain and cattle out of Stalingrad when warned about Hitler's idea. By the end of the battle, Russia got their land.

D-Day
This was the day the United States went to France and liberated Europe. It was an invasion in Normandy, France; the most important military operations to the Western Allies success in WWII. "Marked the beginning of the end of German rule in France."

Meeting at Yalta
Where Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stalin discussed the future war progress and how the world will be once the war is over. The idea did not last long due to FDR's death making many Americans believe he handed over Eastern Europe and Northeast Asia to the Soviet Union. Truman quickly became the next President later failing to agree with USSR because of lack of cooperation.

Island Hopping
This was a particular strategy used by the U.S. to maneuver to Japan. The U.S had airstrips and B-29 bombers within range Japan. Hence, it was a naval strategy for the Pacific Theater.

Fall of Berlin

Death of Hitler
Adolf Hitler, the dictator of Germany, commited suicide in his underground bunker. He was reportedly buried away in an air-raid shelter; he consumed a cyanide capsule and he then shot himself with a pistol. At this time, Russians were only a day away from overtaking the chancellory, and instead Hitler killed himself; his wife might have taken the capsule as well.

Los Alamos
Located in New Mexico, this was a top-secret atomic bomb laboratory. It was not on any map due to it's secrecy. This was where the atomic bomb was dropped to see if it could be of any use in the war. AKA Manhattan Project.

Meeting at Potsdam
After Yalta, FDR, Churchill, and Stalin agreed to eventually have another conference, this time with Truman. Germany surrendered on May 8, 1945, and the leaders agreed to meet over the summer to continue the discussions where they left off at Yalta. The big problem was figuring out how to maintain Germany. Even though there was conflict, the leaders brought themselves to a means in this conference.

Hiroshima

America created the B-29 bomber at this time and attacked Hiroshima. Soon after, Americans attacked Nagasaki, Japan. The bombs used were tested in New Mexico. Japan did not surrender after the bombing at Hiroshima like expected, because of that the U.S dropped an even stronger bomb on Nagasaki and Japan later announced their surrender.
