During the war food started to be rationed. Food was rationed so the troops had enough to eat. This was also caused by Europe thinking that they needed to feed their troops, more than their people. -

Quincy and the other American troops had left Brest at 3:24 p.m. They had a first close passage to Paris. -
Jan 4, 1918
Quincy Claude Ayres and the rest of the troops had arrived in Paris. They all had an amazing time there, but they were also missing they're families.
